And we're off
Hello, friends.
Our tenants have moved in, we’ve moved out, and we should be on a flight to Toronto on Friday. Wheeeeee! I’m almost as excited about not packing and organizing anymore as I am about starting our trip.
I was working on a post for this week, but all sorts of things went sideways over the past few days and the post isn’t ready; apologies. Next week we’ll be settled into our new temporary home in the land of peameal bacon (delicious) and ketchup chips (also delicious—one of my top three favorite chips, I’d say) and hopefully there won’t be quite so many life disruptions.
See you on the other side (of the border)!
By the way, I end my weekly newsletters with some Pretty Good Things I recommend. Do you have any recommendations of things you’re enjoying right now? I’d love to hear them.
Pretty Good Things
I feel seen…
History, but with funny
“You’re Dead to Me” is a BBC Radio 4 podcast that pairs historians and comedians to discuss events or people from the long ago. Topics are eclectic, and range from the Chinese pirate Zheng Yi Sao to the Egyptian pyramids to the history of high heels. The Genghis Khan episode is one of my favorites. Find it wherever you listen to podcasts (which for me is the Overcast app, but I’m not too enamored with it, so if you have a podcast player you like, please let me know).
