I’m Jane. I have a 40-something-year-old husband and an 8-year-old daughter. I love reading, editing, and having written.

Here are some of the things we’ll talk about here:

  • Parenting, world schooling, forest schools, and trying to find joyful learning experiences for our daughter

Our 8-year-old has already experienced several different schooling methods, including Montessori, forest school, bilingual school, public school and the Acton Academy. Some were more her speed than others. Next up is world schooling—home schooling while on the road—with the challenges of building community and having social interaction while on the move.

  • Q&As with educators, parents, learners in all kinds of schooling and unschooling scenarios

  • Looking for our homes

We are looking for other places to land. In our dream scenario, we’d split our time between 2 or 3 different homes. So our first step is finding those places.

  • Things I Think Are Pretty Great—books, podcasts, articles, kitchen items—and why I love them

  • Non-pro tips

I’m a non-pro at many things! I do love learning about random topics, though, and sometimes I even learn useful things, which I’ll share with you.

  • Possibly, if I feel like it: Utterly amateurish sketches from someone who does not know how to draw

I don’t know about this one. Maybe.
